Light and bright are just right

The owners of this 1902 St. Anthony Park home thought it was in a perfect location. But as their needs changed it was evident the kitchen and living spaces were less than ideal. The rooms were cramped and dark, storage space was limited, and the home’s original footprint did not suit a modern lifestyle. The owners wanted to lighten things up and make more space yet stay true to the home’s distinct historic charm. After much consideration, and consultation, the solution came by way of a 650 square-foot addition that included a new kitchen, family room, and upstairs master bedroom suite.

New wood floors and custom-crafted detailing throughout bring a seamless transition between rooms and honor the home’s character. Bright custom cabinets and vent hood, and a custom-built island create an expanded, bright kitchen, while the new adjacent family room with custom windows provides a spacious, sunny retreat. The upstairs master bedroom-bathroom suite features custom windows, all new fixtures, and offers welcome respite space. True to its heritage, but now with modern day amenities, this house will delight its residents for generations to come.
