From cramped to revamped
Small. Close. Claustrophobic. These are just a few words the homeowners used when they talked about the kitchen in their 1929 South Minneapolis home. It was time for a transformation. When we designed the new 2-story addition, we embraced the owners’ desire to keep the historic charm while bringing in modern-day extras. The result was a seamless look and feel between old and new. The kitchen, in particular, exemplifies our approach. New custom cabinetry matched the home’s original woodwork. Additionally, the tile backsplashes, wood flooring, and specialty lighting all honored the home’s heritage. But a larger, more open floor plan and updated appliances brought the home into a new era. Spacious. Functional. Fabulous. These are just some of the words the homeowners now use to describe their new kitchen.
